HazingPrevention.Org™ is proud to announce the winners of the 2018 Poster Design Contest. This years’ entries were judged on an original poster on hazing prevention with the theme ‘Rise Up, Band Together, & Stomp Out Hazing’.  The contest attracted entries from creative and talented college and university students from across the country.

The winning entry is featured as the official poster for National Hazing Prevention Week, held this year September 24-28, 2018, and will be available for free download through our website, and as part of our National Hazing Prevention Week materials.

Prevent.Zone by AliveTek, who works with HazingPrevention.Org to create online hazing prevention courses taken by over 100,000 students nationwide, helped support this year’s contest.

First Place – It’s Not a Game

First place

The winning poster design was awarded to It’s Not a Game – by Latoinette Wright, Texas Christian University. Latoinette is a junior Strategic Communication major and General Business minor at Texas Christian University, a private university in Fort Worth, Texas with the mission to educate individuals to think and act as ethical leaders and responsible citizens in the global community. Her poster, titled It’s Not a Game features a red plastic cup and the theme ‘Rise Up, Band Together, and Stomp Out Hazing’.


Second Place – Stomping Out Hazing

Second place

A second-place poster was selected, entitled Stomping Out Hazing – by Isabelle Wolf, a graphic design student at North Carolina State University School of Design, and will be used in the fall campaigns as well.

HazingPrevention.Org™ (HPO) is a national 501(c)3 organization dedicated to empowering people to prevent hazing, by providing education and resources, advocating on hazing prevention, and building partnerships with others. Major initiatives of the organization include National Hazing Prevention Week™, Prevent.Zone™ educational online courses, HazingPrevention.Org Institute & Academy, books and webinars that touch the lives of thousands of individuals, organizations, campuses and communities.

National Hazing Prevention Week™ (NHPW), organized by HazingPrevention.Org, is an opportunity for campuses, schools, organizations, and communities to not only raise awareness, but to begin the conversation surrounding how to actively prevent hazing. This year, National Hazing Prevention Week will be observed September 24 – 28. The theme of this year’s #NHPW18 is ‘Rise Up, Band Together, and Stomp Out Hazing’.
