December 2, 2019 – HazingPrevention.Org (HPO) is pleased to announce a partnership with CAMPUSPEAK, Inc. in the development of two professional certifications to advance the fight against hazing. The initiatives to be developed by CAMPUSPEAK include best practices in the areas of prevention and investigation.

The Hazing Prevention Educator Certification will build on the HazingPrevention.Org Institute for Hazing Prevention. The Hazing Prevention Educator Certification training will be designed to advance the work of the HPO Institute to greater depth. A professional will be proficient in the creation of a customized, holistic plan for hazing education and prevention strategies for an entire campus community or national organization. There will be a focus on assessment and long-term benchmarking, and tangible stakeholder engagement strategies.

The Hazing Investigator Certification will train student affairs professionals on the best practices and industry standards uniquely tailored to the investigation of hazing for their campus or organization. The Investigation Certification training curriculum will be designed for professionals who are seeking to refine their investigation skills for student and organizational cases involving allegations of hazing. The curriculum will address student organizations, fraternities and sororities, culturally based Greek letter organizations, athletics, band and others. “Our two organizations enjoy a long history together, as HPO was founded through a vision that began at CAMPUSPEAK thirteen years ago.” said Lenny Sancilio, HPO Board President. “Hazing presents in different ways and it is important for higher education practitioners to have the latest state-of-the-art materials at their disposal” he added.

David Stollman, Co-Founder and President of CAMPUSPEAK said “It is so exciting to partner with the leading issue experts at HazingPrevention.Org to launch these two groundbreaking initiatives. The certification courses will provide a blueprint for professionals to improve their prevention efforts and investigation strategies so that hazing can be addressed at a more effective level than ever.”

The Hazing Prevention Educator and the Hazing Investigator Certifications will be offered immediately following the 2020 HazingPrevention.Org Institute for Hazing Prevention, June 19-20 at Vanderbilt University.
