HazingPrevention.Org is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization whose mission is to empower individuals - through collaboration and education - to expect and create groups that value human dignity. Our goal is to encourage healthy and productive experiences for new members of teams, student organizations and fraternities and sororities.
National Hazing Prevention Week
is September 22-26, 2008
The organization hosts two main programs annually – the National Hazing Symposium, an educational conference for professionals typically held in the fall, and National Hazing Prevention Week, observed the last week of September on campuses across the country. This year, two programs have been added for professionals and volunteers. The first was an Interdisciplinary Institute for Hazing Intervention held on the campus of North Carolina State University June 4-7, 2008. The second is a National Hazing Prevention Week Webinar, entitled "A Hazing Death: Five Years Later and 10 Lessons Learned." The Webinar will take place on Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008 at 2 pm EST.
